The Willamette Valley Schutzhund Club (WVSC) was first formed in January 2001 with 4 founding members and 3 charter members. The club is currently under the leadership and guidance of Mary Dygert who became the clubs first president in 2001. Membership has grown steadily from the beginning. WVSC is not only dedicated to the sport of Schutzhund but also to the Conformation & Breed Survey following the FCI standard set forth.
There are a few members with quite an extensive history in the sport also. We are always happy to welcome a new face to our training sessions.
WVSC is a member of the Pacific North West Region of the national organization, United Schutzhund Clubs of America (USA) and abide by the by-laws and regulations set forth by USA. We will host various events throughout the year including training seminars, Schutzhund trials, SV style Conformation shows and breed surveys.
